Silkies

Silkies are a lovely bantam breed that make wonderful family pets.  They are adorable, friendly, and are full of personality.  Silkies are a very broody breed.  They would much prefer to be mother hens than provide your family with breakfast.  Silkies need a little extra care compared to your average backyard chicken, but once you learn to care for these quirky little fluff balls, you will wonder how you ever got along without them in your life!  Silkies can be smooth or frizzle and also Showgirl (naked neck) and come in a variety of colors: Paint, Black, White, Blue, Splash, Partridge, Blue Partridge, Buff, Blue Cream, Lavender (Self Blue), Sexlink Chocolate, Sexlink Mauve, Sexlink Chocolate Splash, and other fun colors from our Confetti Pen.
